Brrrrrrrrrr...........

We are just freezing down here still. Looks like we aren't going to get our normal January thaw. Everyday it still dips below 0 degrees and is foggy and frosty in the mornings. About noon the sun finally shines, but it never gets high enough to melt any snow. Spring will certainly be welcomed this year! At least it is no longer -30!

Our New Years Triathlon FHE
We enjoyed our annual New Years Triathlon over several days this year. It was quite the occasion with the GIRLS winning most of the events. As normal,Cory was extra competitive, but still couldn't make any baskets with the socks, Marcus drew a perfect happy face, the lemonade was tasty, and Brooke and Dani loved every minute of it. Dani was so upset every night when we had to quit and go to bed without finishing everything, but Pop thought it was great that we drug it out for a several days. Baseball was the best even though Pop and I couldn't ever hit the sock ball!

Marcus Senior Assembly
Marcus was involved on several numbers for his senior ball. Here he is as a one man band. He had the accordian, some bells taped on his hat, a harmonica taped to his mouth, and playing Cory's bass drum with his foot. It was great. Then he did a dance where the boys were dressed like girls and danced and the girls dressed like boys and danced. Marcus was so funny because he was acting like he didn't really want to join in the dance even with a lot of encouragement by his friends, but finally he did and really went to town. He was also in a skit, and told a joke.

Cory Honor Choir
It was great to travel up to SL and see Cory in the honor choir then go out to eat with everyone. We enjoyed the concert a lot and seeing everyone.

Brooke and Dani making their bead necklaces. Their turned out great!

Ice Skating At the River
On the Martin Luther King school holiday, we went to the river with Dani and Brooke to ice skate. Neither one had been ice skating before and they used Marcus and Cory's skates, but they both just skated around the river like old pros. It was not too cold and a lot of fun. Pop also pulled them some on the sled.
