Happy New Year

I almost forgot to post this amazingly handsome picture of our wonderful son-in-law in his new shirt made lovingly by his favorite sister-in-law! Gichin we know you secretly really love the color pink! What a good sport he is.

We had a very nice Christmas vacation and are sad it is over. We made a lot of fun memories with our family and enjoyed all the get-togethers and fun times. On the 27th of December we went to Orem and attended the temple with Kade Burnham who went through before entering the MTC the next week for his mission to I think somewhere in South America. It was great to see Matt and Tacey and thought you all might like to see this picture of them with Damen and Kade at the temple.

Grandma and Grandpa Burnham had spent a few days up in Salt Lake to visit with Matt and Tacey and also Anna and other family. They had a very nice time and Anna had some fun celebrations for them. They did come home on Thursday the 28th though so we could help Grandma Burnham celebrate her 83rd birthday. We got her to laughing so hard she could hardly blow out her candles. Doris and Lee Marie were there to help us celebrate also.

On Friday the 29th after the 3rd sledding party for the holidays we went up to Oak City for the Extended Finlinson Family Annual Christmas party. It seemed pretty sparce this year although as you can see there were plenty of kids! I believe it seemed as though there were twice as many kids as adults, and they had a grand time running and screaming all over the town hall. Here is a cute picture of all the the cousins lined up from shortest to tallest to break open the pinata which by the way took about an hour! How could Brooke be the second to tallest????

We were happy to have TJ , Shauna and Kait come on Sat to celebrate New Years Eve with us. Abby and Gichin came on Sun. We missed Jamie and Derek and Jacyln, but wished them a Happy New Year on the phone. I really missed chasing Derek around for a New Year's hug and kiss! The minute I yelled "Happy New Year" with outstretched arms all the kids yelled a ran away. Don't they love their mother? Kait really enjoyed the wrapping paper from her presents. We had a nice time playing games with everyone and just a pleasant New Years celebration. I do think Gichin is not fun to play games with unless you are on his team because he always wins! You have met your match Derek. I stayed up with the kids watching Superman Returns and loved it-for sure he is the best super hero.



When we went up to the temple we stopped by Derek and Jaclyn's to give them their presents. It was nice seeing them and were able to look through their wedding photo album they just got.
