At the Beach!

We spent our last full day in California at the Oceanside beach. Mary and Loren Barney went with us and showed us a great time. It was nice to relax and enjoy the sunshine. The kids raced to the water. Marcus and Cory charged right in with Brooke close behind them. Jamie and Dani couldn't make themselves go all the way in and slowed up at the end, but eventually made it in enough to play in the waves. It wasn't as cold as we thought it was going to be and everyone had a great time jumping into the waves, then letting the waves carry them toward the shore. They attempted a sand castle, played frisbee and football, hunted for sand dollars and shells, and caught a few sun rays trying to get warmed up. The beach was beautiful and it was a great way end our vacation. There was a restaurant at the end of the pier that we wanted to eat at, but it was too busy. We walked out to it and back anyway, then went and found a taco bell.







After the beach and Taco Bell, we went back to the Barney's played some games, visited and went to bed. The next day we attended church in a ward that met in the Barney's building at 9:00 am so we could get and early start for home. We had a great trip on the way back, a lot of fun visiting and especially playing mad libs. Everyone was very silly and said a lot of funny things which we wrote down. I had to get a picture of them laughing hysterically at their mad lib stories (ok so this picture was staged to look like how they were when they really were laughing). It was sad for the trip to be over. We really enjoyed being together and had a fabulous time.
