THE Weed Party

We invited all who could or wanted to come down on the 8th nad help to weed at Grandpa B house. The rag weed has been so bad this year and Grandpa hasn't been able to keep the weeds down. Grandma has bad hay fever and with the added stress of that and the unsightliness of the weeds it has partially contributed to her health issues, so we are hoping getting some weeds out would help. Abby, Gichin, TJ, Shauna, Kait, Tyler all came down to pull weeds and cleanup. Jamie and Marcus also came and helped mow lawns with Cory so Pop could help in the yard. It was great for everyone to help out. We did discover that nearly everyone has hayfever and at one point everyone was just out of control with sneezing. We brought over the antihistamine and it helped some, although I think Abby and Tyler suffered the worst. What troupers they were. WE had a little lunch at Grandma's and continued to work till about 4:00. We got a lot of weeds cleaned out and outside the shop cleaned up good. AFter the work was done. Now what to do with the weeds we pulled out???

After the cleanup we all came home and cleaned up and had a picni outside then relaxed for the rest of the evening (Abby and Tyler with a box of Kleenex nearby).
Kait was so cute at the picnic, just walking around with her hands behind her back. She was very interested in the fountain and would check it out often. I just had to do a scrapbook layout of her.The next day we had Grandma and Grandpa Fin come to dinner to celebrate her birthday on Tues. It was a fun day with all the family around.
When it was time for everyone to go home we loaded Gichin's truck with our old furniture for TJ and Shauna to use. Gichin was a great sport to haul it up for them and we were happy to get it out of the hall and let TJ had Shauna have it. I haven't seen what it looks like in their apartment, but Pop says it looks great.
