We had such a fun weekend last weekend. TJ was out of town for the week, so Shauna came down with Kait and Logan on Thursday. We went to Brooke's basketball game in Beaver where she played fabulously and they won by quite a bit. Then we went to eat at Wendy's before coming home. Kait and Logan were great supporters of the team and Brooke!
Then on Friday Shauna left for Las Vegas to visit Amy and left the kids for us to tend for the whole weekend! It was so fun and we had a wonderful time playing with the kitty (Grandpa couldn't say too much about the kitty being in the house if Kait wanted to play with her!) We also watched movies, had a tea party (Kait especially liked the lemonade in the tiny cups), ran around in the hall, played games and played with the toys. Kait slept with Brooke and Dani Saturday night and be morning she was upside down! They were happy to see their mom when she got here on Sunday, but they did great with us, were very well behaved and happy most of the time!
On Saturday we had our big piano festival and Brooke, Dani, and Cory all participated and did well. Cory now will get his 75 point cup for piano duet which means he got a superior for 15 years in a row! Abby came down to judge with her friend Amalie and so we got to tend Haddie also while the festival was in progress all morning. Sunday, Brooke, Dani, and Cory all participated in the honors recital and played well. Cory's duet partner is Allyson Harris, one of my piano students.
On Monday it snowed most of the day, so that evening Brooke and Dani went out to build a snowman since we haven't had a chance all winter. The snow wouldn't pack good enough for a snowman so they built a bed instead! Or is it a fort? Anyway it was fun.
Wednesday Brooke had a basketball game in Nephi, so everyone came to watch her play. She played a great game and we had a fun time cheering her on. It is great to have such a supportive family. After the game we went to visit Grandma Fin still recupperating from her hip replacement in the Nephi hospital. We are hoping she will be able to come home soon. We also sent Grandpa Burnham off to California for a week to visit Matt and he has reported he is having a great time, and Matt's dog Joe is great company for him (says his arm might fall off because Joe will just look at him with those big brown eyes pleading for him to throw the ball to he can chase it, and how can you resist those eyes?)
