Shauna planned the perfect party for Kait's first birthday. It was a ladybug party and was at Nielsen Grove Park in Orem. The weather was perfect and it was so much fun. We had a great time with all our family there along with Shauna's family, Some of Amy's friends, and Levi and Tana. Shauna had a wonderful dinner planned; hogi's, chips, fruit, and vegetables.
After dinner the "adults" watched while the "kids" played a very intense game of soccer with a fun blow up soccer set that TJ received for his birthday. It was a lot of fun except that all the cheaters were on one team (ha ha). I think the game ended in a tie since there questionable hands penalties that weren't called. We do love to play soccer and it really was entertaining and fun!
After the game it was time for the cake and candles. Shauna and TJ had made some cute lady bug cakes, this one was just for Kait and she was pretty excited about all the hype. She was able to blow the candle out with a little help.
It took her a little while to get the idea that the cake was hers to eat, but when she finally got a spoon to use, she dug right it. The black icing turned her mouth purple but she didn't care bcause it was sooo yummy. Amazingly enough the purple and black washed off easily.
