Brooke had a list of all the things she had to do before school started. One of the things they hadn't accomplished yet was swimming in the ditch, so when the ditch had water in it on Monday, they decided to go swimming. Everyone was a little squimish about the moss growing on the bottom of the ditch and weren't to keen on slidding down on their bottoms. Brooke devised a plan and was able to straddle the bottom and put her feet on the sides of the ditch where moss hadn't grown.
We had our annual back to school party on Monday the 13th (Happy Anniversary TJ and Shauna!). We had steak and vegetables along with IBC soda in bottles. After dinner we had our traditional FHE (no one seems to tire of "The Wheels On the Bus"), complete with stories and crayons, then the treasure hunt and ended the evening with a spectacular fashion show.
The Treasure!
Cory set up the fashion show with lights to coordinate with the music and Jamie sounded like a real fashion show announcer. We are getting very professional. We decided that when we run out of models, we will have to have an annual grand children fashion show!
